En esta investigaci\u00f3n se lleva a cabo un an\u00e1lisis en el que la descripci\u00f3n te\u00f3rica y conceptual se combina con un estudio de car\u00e1cter marcadamente emp\u00edrico, centr\u00e1ndose en dos puntos interconectados a lo largo de toda la investigaci\u00f3n:
\nI. El primero consiste en identificar la evoluci\u00f3n de la enunciaci\u00f3n de la problem\u00e1tica del hambre desde mediados de los a\u00f1os 1980 hasta el inicio del nuevo siglo.
\nII. El segundo est\u00e1 relacionado con el papel de los medios de comunicaci\u00f3n en la construcci\u00f3n simb\u00f3lica de la compasi\u00f3n y de la solidaridad, explorando el enfrentamiento entre la visi\u00f3n optimista que les reconoce una fuerza movilizadora capaz de despertar una sensibilidad global ante las otredades distantes, y el pesimismo que asocia la sobredosis de sufrimiento ajeno con la indiferencia y la imposibilidad de fomentar el compromiso o el activismo.
\nEn el \u00e1mbito del an\u00e1lisis emp\u00edrico se estudian coberturas period\u00edsticas concretas a trav\u00e9s de las que se traza el recorrido emprendido por el discurso de la prensa de referencia a lo largo de tres d\u00e9cadas. Se procede al an\u00e1lisis de las piezas period\u00edsticas publicadas en un t\u00edtulo de la prensa europea,\u00a0El Pa\u00eds<\/i>, y uno estadounidense,\u00a0The New York Times<\/i>, sobre el hambre que afect\u00f3 Etiop\u00eda en los a\u00f1os 1980, Corea del Norte a mediados de 1990 y Argentina en los primeros a\u00f1os del nuevo siglo.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/section>\n<\/article>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
